Let’s talk fostering at Gloucestershire Pride

Gloucestershire County Council will be taking part in Gloucestershire Pride this year, looking to recruit more LGBT foster carers.

Gloucestershire Pride takes place on the 10^th June from noon until 5pm.

Gloucestershire County Council needs more LGBT foster carers to provide loving, stable homes for children in Gloucestershire, particularly for sibling groups and teenagers.

Anyone who is interested in finding out more about fostering can talk to the fostering team and an experienced foster carer at the stand in Gloucester Park.

Information on types of fostering, allowances and the assessment process will also be available.

The county council welcomes applications to foster from all sectors of society. There is no upper age limit to foster and people can be married, single, co-habiting, in a heterosexual or same sex relationship, a homeowner or renting a property.

All children are different, and to meet their needs, the county council is looking for a wide variety of people. Applicants will need to be over 21 and have a spare room (or spare rooms for siblings) in their home.
