Experience the wonderful sound of the Dawn Chorus with the Countryside Rangers at Alney Island.
Rangers from the City Council will be taking visitors on a two hour walk around Alney Island to enjoy the Dawn Chorus of the watery warblers.
Councillor Sajid Patel, cabinet member for environment, Gloucester City Council said: “We have fantastic bird and wildlife here in the city. The dawn chorus walks give a unique opportunity to see and hear the wide range of wildlife living alongside us here in the city.”
The walk is flat and easy going, although a little uneven in places. The accompanied walk is £3 for adults and FREE for children. Booking is advisable, by calling the city council’s countryside rangers on 01452 303206.
Those taking part will be meeting at the small car park on the westbound side of Westgate Bridge for a 4:45am start on Sunday 27th April.
