Janes Pantry was originally opened in 1971 by Tony and Babara Phillips residing on St Aldates Street Glos, initially being a Sandwich Bar, they named the shop after their youngest daughter Jane Phillips who is one lucky girl I say- she must be sweet!. The company is still very much family run and has become a major Gloucester City employer, having more than 100 staff under their belt and willing to work for such a successful local company.
Over the years, the tradition of high standards and the use of the finest quality ingredients has never changed and to prove this all the unsold yeast products are returned daily which ensures that it is impossible for any goods to be sold which are not baked fresh each day. Isn’t there nothing better than the smell of fresh bread in the morning?. They are now proudly joined to The National Association of Master Bakers/The Brittish Confectioners’ Association and have also invested in state of the art machinery which means a local business like themselves can still keep competitive but still create a high standard product. You will also notice their Sandwich Vans on the road so they can deliver all their delicious goodies straight to your workplace, event or office. A Buffet and cake making service is also available further details and prices are on the website.
