Monks, Manuscripts and Mayhem Activity Day

Novice Norman is back, and once again he’s inviting you to come and learn about the world of the monks who used to live here!

This time, visitors of all ages are invited to discover more about the fascinating studies the monks undertook as part of their daily lives. There will be a number of activities on offer, including the chance to design your own illuminated letter, dress up as a monk, and even peek inside our medieval Library…

There will be free books for visitors to take home with them, subject to availability. These books have been kindly donated by Read with Me.

This is the perfect Half Term, family-friendly activity for visitors young and old. It is free to take part, but we are grateful for donations to the Cathedral, and no booking is required.
