Run or Walk 5K #RunForRamarni

The power of community spirit fosters support for all families impacted by knife crime.

To coincide with the Knife Angel coming to Gloucester, the family of Ramarni Crosby, who lost his life to knife crime in November 2021, are organising a 5k run each night for a week in his memory.

Starting on Monday 20th to the Sunday 26th February, to coincide with half-term week, you are all invited to join Danny Lee Davis, Ramarni’s Uncle and local Knife Crime activist, to #RunForRamarni on any or all of these evenings.

Meeting at Butlers Bar on Eastgate Street each night at 7pm for a 7.15pm star, ending at The Knife Angel at Gloucester Cathedral Green.

On the last run, Sunday 26th, it will start earlier at Butlers for 4.30pm, run the route until ‘Boots Corner’ up to the Cathedral for a closing community vigil marking the departure of the Knife Angel the following day.

Families of victims who have lost lives to knife crime will be together carrying the ‘Knife Torch’ from ‘Boots Corner’ to Gloucester Cathedral.

Please feel free to come and join us each night from 7pm to run, walk, or just cheer on.

Donations are welcomed but optional. Buckets will be out each evening outside Butlers and all monies donated will be added to the Ramarni Trust Fund to facilitate Gloucester’s fight against knife crime in the City. Knife Angel merchandise will be on sale at the closing vigil and all funds raised will support the legacy fund to continue education and awareness raising post February.
