Gloucester Gift Card
The last 3 months have been very positive for businesses that accept the Gloucester Gift Card, with over £2,500 being redeemed.
Some of the latest businesses that accept the Gloucester Gift Card are No.76 Coffee on London Road, Island Bites Kitchen on Westgate Street, and the Card Factory on Eastgate Street and Eastgate Shopping Centre.
It’s a simple gift for friends, family, colleagues and is a great prize for giveaways or competitions. It drives additional spend and encourages recipients to try somewhere new. The gift card supports local businesses and acts as a local currency, keeping spend local.
The top independent businesses have been Gloucester Brewery, DeliGreek, Greek on the Docks, VRXPerience, Cafe Rene, The Fountain Inn, Spago, Coal Kitchen, Chez Rose, The Candle Tree, The Comfy Pew, Janes Pantry, Yanto’s and The Knobbly Cob.
The top national businesses have been Marks & Spencer (Eastgate), Primark, Poundland, Jamaica Blue, H&M, The Entertainer, Boswell’s Cafe and Subway (King’s Walk).
Emily Gibbon, BID Manager says, ”We’re delighted such a huge variety of high street names and local independent businesses have joined the scheme, showcasing all there is to enjoy in Gloucester city centre.”
The scheme doesn’t cost anything for BID Members to participate, and the Mastercard based card is treated as a standard swipe transaction, with the option for consumers to purchase a digital card that operates through Google pay and Apple Pay – https://townandcitygiftcards.com/product/gloucester-gift-card/

Where can the gift card be spent & bought?
In December 2023, there were more than 90 BID businesses accepting it, offering a huge choice for the person receiving the gift. This involves national chains, independent stores and everyone in between.
People using the card can choose to treat themselves to a meal out, coffee and cake, shoes, children’s clothes, leisure experiences, a new outfit, they can even get a steak from the deli – the choice is truly theirs!
The physical gift cards can be purchased online here or in person at The Museum of Gloucester. You can also pick up a ‘Load your Own’ card from 11 city businesses. A list of these can be found here – half-way down the page.
Digital cards can be bought here – chose the e-card option – this will add the gift card to your digital wallet.
