Wednesday 9th March marks the 10 year anniversary since The House of the Tailor of Gloucester was successfully reopened to the public. A celebratory tea and thank you the volunteers for their loyal support, is being held over the road in College Court, at Lily’s Tea Rooms at 4.30pm to mark this anniversary.
Without the help of the Gloucester Citizen in raising awareness of the scheme for local, interested people to purchase shares in the Company, this unique attraction in our City would not have been viable. Sufficient funds were raised in order to secure the iconic premises and to start the company trading. The company continues to go from strength to strength since.
2016 also marks the 150th year of the birth of Beatrix Potter, further celebrations will be happening in the summer.
