Gloucester Quays will be seeing its first Asian Street Food Market on the 30-31 of October this month. This is a great chance for the people of Gloucestershire to try a variety of Asian cuisines from a range of countries, some of which include Vietnamese, Philipines, Malaysian, Sri Lankan, Japanese, Chinese, Nepalese, Thailand, Indian and Tibet. There will be up to 25 stalls consisting of Asian street food, desserts and alcohol.
This event, which is free to attend, aims to preserve the Asian culture and heritage by making it accessible to a wider audience. This will give the community a chance to appreciate and further explore the rich and diverse heritage of Asia through food and drink. The organiser of the event, Josephine Laurence, originally from Borneo, initiated the Asian Food Market as she would like to bring the uniqueness of Asia to the UK countryside.
The event will take place on the 30-31 October this month from 11am – 6pm (5pm end on Sunday) at Orchard Square, Gloucester Quays. Everyone living in or outside of Gloucestershire is welcome to the event. Come and experience a little bit of Asia in the city of Gloucester!
