The 65-year-old woman involved in the serious RTC on the A38 in Quedgeley yesterday is recovering well in hospital. Her injuries are not as serious as first thought.

The woman was travelling in her Nissan Micra at around 1.40pm, along the A38 away from Gloucester, when her vehicle collided with a lorry at the traffic light junction by Asda.

An air ambulance attended and took her to Southmead Hospital with life threatening internal injuries.

The lorry driver was uninjured.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or the circumstances leading up to it, should call police on 101 quoting incident 227 of 27 July.
