If you’re looking for high quality second-hand furniture and electricals, it’s worth checking out the extensive range in the Northgate Street British Heart Foundation store.
The long-established charity is celebrating its 60th year and raises money to research cures and treatments into heart and circulatory diseases.
Manager Maria Marlow has been at the Gloucester store for 6 years and says customers are always surprised at the quality and offer. She said, ‘People come in and they think the store is marvellous! It’s always clean, it’s well set out and easy to shop and our customer service is great.’
Along with good quality sustainable stock, the Northgate branch is run by an efficient team. Maria said, ‘We rely heavily on volunteers and I’m really proud of the team here as everyone works extremely hard. We all know exactly how much is raised and what cause the money is going to.’
The British Heart Foundation has over 500 charity shops on the high street throughout the UK where you’ll find quality clothes, accessories, CDs, DVDs, books and much more. The charity always needs quality items to help fund life-saving research. It spends 76p of every £1 raised on life saving research.
The British Heart Foundation is currently running several campaigns to raise funds and relies on the generosity of the public. Heart and circulatory diseases are the world’s biggest killers and there are around 7.4 million people, young and old, living with these diseases in UK.
