Now all-day Sunday to Thursday and until 4.30pm Fridays to Saturdays. Don’t miss their delicious desserts and incredible cocktails too!

Once part of the Coal Bar & Grill chain, in January 2020 Coal Kitchen was born. They used the time in lockdown to tailor menus and source local suppliers, to offer a unique and independent service.

Finalists for the Best Restaurant category in the SoGlos Awards 2023, Coal Kitchen is an independent family owned restaurant, with another site in Bristol. They have focussed on their stunning buildings, individual surroundings and local suppliers.

Offering not only an amazing ambience and delicious food for meeting with family, friends or colleagues, you can also hire out the venue for private events or business meetings.

General Manager, Zack Sheppard, has worked at the restaurant since it began in 2014, comments “Being an independent restaurant gives us the freedom to embrace our beautiful building and surroundings. Sourcing from local suppliers, like Ben Creese County Butchers near Staunton and Wogan Coffee from Bristol.”

Zack continues, “We’re surrounded by many multi-nationals and modern units, which really makes us stand apart in Gloucester Quays. With our terrace over-looking the Docks, it really is such a lovely place to enjoy delicious food and drink with family and friends.”

Don’t forget to use your Gloucester Gift Card when you visit and keep an eye out for their delicious Christmas menus and festive bottomless brunch, which they will be launching on 13th November!
