When was the last time you had your eyes tested? Local and independent business, Norville Opticians has been providing eye care for over 125 years and can be found a short distance down Eastgate Street.

Current owner Becci Zawadzki, an optometrist, loves being able to provide quality eye care for her patients. Becci says “it’s really important that our patients get to spend quality time with us so that they can ask the questions they want to about their eye health. We’ve invested in the latest tech which means we get to see the structures of the eyes that traditional methods cannot – this all means better detection of eye changes, before it becomes a problem.”

“Being an independent gives us the freedom to choose the best products for our patients. We also allow our patients more time with both the optometrist and dispensing team. This means we can explain about eye health concerns a patient might have. And then spend more time discussing their needs from their glasses and advise on their most suitable frame and lenses. We are more than comfortable and experienced dealing with complex eye health and prescriptions and have the latest technology. I believe we have the best team who always have a smile on their face!

Co-owner, Emily Emm, a dispensing optician, loves being able to hand pick frames. She says, “I’m passionate about finding frames that are not only functional to use but are comfortable to wear and reflect the personality of the patient. If you have to wear glasses, then my job is that they do exactly what you need them to do and make you feel fabulous too.”

Rachel McGarrick is one of the fabulous team members. She loves that the owners are hands on in the business. Rachel says, “Their passion for eyecare and eyewear is infectious – and I love that their key motivation is to look after clients for the long term.”

So, if your glasses make you feel old or frumpy, or you’re somewhat frustrated because your vision isn’t delivering for screen work, driving or any of the work tasks or hobbies you love to do, then pop along and see them.

They also accept the Gloucester Gift Card in part or full payment. So, if you know someone who wants some help with their glasses, then the Gloucester gift card is a great way to help them. Being able to give your friends or family the freedom to choose where they’d like to spend that generous gift and using it towards eye health is a great way!
