The Real Greek restaurant is promising an authentic Greek experience when it opens in Gloucester Quays in three weeks’ time.
The Real Greek is expected to open the week of 12th September and is currently in the final stages of fitting out and hiring staff.
The business was launched in London in 1999 and the company now has restaurants all over the country including Manchester, Bristol, Bournemouth and Reading. Owner David Page, who has spent a lot of time in Greece and whose father is Greek, said the unique selling point of the business is its ‘very good value.’
The Real Greek is famous for its ‘stacking’ plates with stacks of three or five dishes for sharing of cold or hot meze, souvlaki wraps and also main dishes like moussaka. There will be regular offers and discounts for students along with kids eat free on selected days.
Along with delicious Greek food, diners can expect an authentic experience inside the restaurant which will have Greek décor with an ‘Aegean Sea’ colour theme, original Greek tiles on the floor and art on the walls, including a map of the original Greek Marathon in 490BC.
The Gloucester Quays restaurant is currently hiring for staff including, head chefs, chefs, porters, supervisors, wait and bar staff. Rates are particularly good and job perks include having the chance to travel to Greece as part of a reward scheme.
At the new The Real Greek, customers can expect an open-plan style interior and there will be plenty of seating outside. Takeaway is also available.
