Situated on Northgate Street is The Abbey, a historic gem favoured by all, from locals to tourists and sports fans…
Recently the pub had a change over in management, joining the team in November 2017 was Sarah from Wolverhampton; brimming with exciting ideas and potential plans for the year ahead, expect to see great things from The Abbey!
Earlier this year, The Abbey were keen to get involved and host Gloucester Bid’s Folk Trail, being host to great live music while supplying a selection of beverages. Coming up this April is the Spring Cask Ale and Cider Festival; a great opportunity to get together with friends whilst enjoying a variety of beverages.
If you are a sports fan, this is the place to be, with large screens, projectors and fans alike you’ll be in your element. Drop by on those summer evenings and enjoy a tipple or two in the beer garden with family and friends (not forgetting your pooch too!)
The pub has regular offers, their most popular being the ‘2 for 1’ cocktails, which are great for a girl’s night out or even student nights.
As well as drinks, the pub offers some delicious food too and with great prices, pop in for a hearty pie and a pint for just £5.99 and if you still have room, we recommend trying the chocolate fudge cake, buy one and get the other FREE!
When asked what Sarah loves about Gloucester, she replied “the people are so friendly and welcoming. When I go out for food and drinks, I like Portivo and Liquor and Chow, they have a great variety to choose from!”
The Abbey was delighted to find out that they had recently been Cask Marque accredited, which’ll bring great benefits for them and the city.
