2015 show_ collie

Teckels will be holding its annual summer dog show on Sunday 14th August at Frampton on Severn.

Following the success of previous shows, the event promises to be the biggest and best with something for everyone to enjoy.

The fields on Church Lane, Frampton on Severn will be transformed to provide a setting with for  a fun packed day with the family and of course your four legged friends.

The dog show offers a selection of classes including waggiest tale, most handsome male, prettiest female, best trick and best pup, to name but a few. In addition there’ll be prizes for best of breed classes. If speed is your dog’s talent, then the dog scurry will be the perfect event.

Collie Wobbles Agility will also be demonstrating their skills and giving the dogs in the audience the opportunity to have a go too.

You’ll find a BBQ with a selection of food including vegetarian, teas coffees and home made cakes, ice-creams and milk shakes. There will be stalls with a variety of offerings from pet accessories and food to cards and presents. With games for the children, they will be sure to be entertained. In addition, if you’d like to capture the perfect picture of your dog, pet photographer, DPH Photography, will be on hand.

“Last year’s Dog Show was a fantastic hit, with such a great number people attending and so many dogs taking part in the range of events and activities. Young and old were able to enjoy the day and we were thrilled to see not just familiar faces but many new attendees, who came for a day out to support the sanctuary. We are hoping for even greater success this year”. Clare Campbell, Centre Manager.

Clare added “We are incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful show ground courtesy of the Whitminster House Estate and some great sponsors supporting us, including Toilets4hireltd mobile toilets, Alpha Tent Hire marquee and equipment hire and Whitminster House self catering cottages”.

In 2015 Teckels Animal Sanctuaries, located in Whitminster, rehomed 117 dogs and 259 cats. With the aim of finding dogs and cats ‘right first time’ forever homes, the charity offers not just palliative care but also invests in the rehabilitation of their animals.

All funds raised from this event will help greatly towards the care of the unwanted and abandoned cats and dogs it looks after.
