Officers investigating a serious assault in Gloucester have released further CCTV images of three witnesses they would like to speak to.

A 38-year-old man was assaulted by another man in the Cromwell Street area at around 10pm on Saturday (10 September).

The victim was taken to hospital, where he still remains recovering. He sustained serious internal injuries and an injury to his head. His condition is stable and he is expected to be discharged from hospital within the next few days.

DC Grace Samuel, the investigating officer, said: “Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the assault that took place on Saturday night.

“It occurred in a public place where a number of potential witnesses maybe able to assist us with our enquiries, and most importantly provide us with information which may lead to the arrest of the person who has carried out this assault.

“The three females pictured may have significant information that could assist in identifying who has carried out this apparently unprovoked attack.”

These women, anyone who recognises them, or anyone else who witnessed the incident or have information which can help police, should call 101 quoting incident 509 of 10 September.
