Over the last 6 months the number of businesses that accept the Gloucester Gift Card increased to over 70 businesses. Along with the number of businesses increasing, there has been a huge jump in sales of the gift card too, with nearly £6000 worth of Gloucester Gift Cards being loaded.
Some of the latest involved are Egg Free Cake Box, Primark, Young Lives vs Cancer, H Samuel, Ernest Jones and Gloucester Waterways Museum. All of which add to the variety of places you can redeem a gift card.
It’s a simple gift for friends, family, colleagues and is a great prize for giveaways or competitions. It drives additional spend and encourages recipients to try somewhere new. The gift card supports local businesses and acts as a local currency, keeping spend local.
Over the last six months (October 2021 to March 2022) just over £4300 has been redeemed in Gloucester businesses via the Gloucester Gift Card, physical and digital versions.
The top independent businesses have been Greek on the Docks, The Candle Tree, Hooker & Eight, Cafe Rene, The Fountain Inn, Gloucester Antiques Centre, The Knobbly Cob, Gloucester Brewery, Idun Spirit and Farmhouse Deli.
The top national businesses have been Marks & Spencer (Eastgate), Primark, H&M, Waterstones, Poundland, The Entertainer, F.Hinds, Klass, Boswell’s, Clarks (Eastgate), Greggs (Southgate) and Clintons.
