Background Information
The Gloucester Gift Card was launched in November 2019 by Gloucester BID for the Gloucester BID members.
Gloucester BID are covering all the set up and operation costs for the project on behalf of members.
The cards operate on a swipe system so any businesses who accepts swipe card payments can accept it. There are other ways to accept the gift card with payment systems, such as iZettle / SumUp which require you to conduct an online payment. This is a payment link and can be sent to any mobile phone number.
It is simple to register and simple to accept, the programme is one of the award-winning Town and City Gift cards that support the work of Business Improvement Districts.
Where can the gift card be spent & bought?
In May 2022, there were more than 70 BID businesses accepting it, offering a huge choice for the person receiving the gift. This involves national chains, independent stores and everyone in between.
People using the card can choose to treat themselves to a meal out, coffee and cake, shoes, children’s clothes, pet supplies, a new outfit, they can even get a steak from the deli – the choice is truly theirs!
The physical gift cards can be purchased online at www.gloucestergiftcard.co.uk or in person at The Museum of Gloucester. Digital cards can be bought on www.gloucestergiftcard.co.uk – chose the e-card – this will add the gift card to your digital wallet.
I want to accept the Gloucester Gift Card-
