Here is a message from Visit Gloucester for businesses at The Docks…
“This May Gloucester City Council & Gloucester BID in partnership with Canal & River Trust and Gloucester Quays are excited to bring three days of fun-filled, family-friendly entertainment to Gloucester Docks. Gloucester’s flagship festival is back with stunning Tall Ships, live music, street theatre and performers, vintage fairground rides, independent makers and sail cargo, an immersive kid’s zone, and food & drink markets.
The festival will take place throughout the Docks on 25th, 26th, 27th May 2024.  Our contractors will be on site from Tuesday 21st May to install infrastructure.
Normal access to businesses will be maintained during the set-up period and we are grateful for your patience whilst the festival is prepared.
Entrance to the Docks will be restricted to ticketholders only over the festival days. Residents and business employee’s will be issued wristbands for access. We appreciate this may be cause for concern for some businesses inside the festival site and we hope to be able to work with you to ensure that normal business is maintained as much as possible.
The festival site will be open 11.00am until 8.00pm Saturday & Sunday and 10.00am until 6.00pm on bank holiday Monday therefore we would like to request that deliveries to businesses inside the site are made before 10.00am on Saturday and Sunday and before 9.00am on Monday. Normal access to residents’ car parks will be maintained and where necessary, residents’ vehicles will be escorted through the site by security personnel. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained throughout the festival. Some car parks will be closed or have limited access.
We will be holding a meeting for docks businesses at Warehouse 4 on Monday 5th February at 5.30pm. We encourage businesses in the docks to attend or send a representative as there will be further updates on the site plan and car park access, access out of hours and access for businesses with reservations. Details of which will be sent out after the meeting via email – Please RSVP for this meeting to and if you’re unable to attend but have questions to ask please include them in your email.
A letter will be sent out with further information for residents in the coming weeks. This will have more detail on how wristbands will be distributed, access over the festival week and vehicle parking.
We hope to address any further queries at the next meeting/ in the next letter but please get in touch if you have immediate queries and we will respond to you.”
