The long-running Gloucester Rhythm and Blues Festival returns this weekend, Friday 19th until Sunday 28th July, at various venues across the city. Bringing joy to music fans near and far!

A mainstay of Gloucester’s festival season, local, national and international Blues artists converge on the city for a nine-day celebration of the genre.

The line-up this year boasts over 50 live performances across the city’s pubs and live music venues. From afternoon to evening sessions and from one side of the city centre to the other, there’s so much going on.

Helen Bates, Landlady at The Fountain Inn says:

“We are delighted to be hosting acts from Monday 22nd July until Sunday 28th July.

The Gloucester Rhythm and Blues festival is the highlight of our year and brings the whole city together with a real festival vibe.”

Toby Wooldridge, Project Manager at Gloucester BID says:

“It’s wonderful to see the Rhythm & Blues Festival grow each year, which now sees it an in integral part of the annual calendar of entertainment in our city.

The start of the festival this year coincides with the Gloucester Quays Food Festival, Gloucester Archaeology Festival and Gloucester Cathedral’s Chill On The Green. So, there will be plenty going on for all ages across the city.”

It’s going to be a busy 9 days, so check out the Gloucester Rhythm & Blues Festival website for full details and plan which ones you want to go and see, plus follow the dedicated Facebook page for regular updates.
