Join the Pilgrimage from Tewkesbury Abbey to Gloucester Cathedral – 4th September
To mark the Association of English Cathedral’s Year of Pilgrimage, Gloucester Cathedral is delighted to be leading this pilgrimage. Starting at Tewkesbury Abbey, with options to join the pilgrimage at Tirley, Ashleworth and Maisemore, it concludes at Gloucester Cathedral where pilgrims are warmly invited to join Evensong.

Have a Look Behind the Scenes during Heritage Open Days – 10-13th September
Gloucester’s events, organised by Gloucester Civic Trust, feature a multitude of tours and events, from the opportunity to see inside buried Roman ruins to viewing the inside one of the best examples of a Tudor Merchant’s house in the country. The city is among the top venues in the country with its huge range of activities during Heritage Open Days. The free programme of guided walks, talks and heritage venues open to the public all offer a rare change for people to explore the sites of Gloucester.

Enjoy a concert of Part Songs by Holst and Vaughan Williams – 11 September
The Gustav Holst Society and the Ralph Vaughan Williams Society are coming together to host a lunchtime concert of Part Songs to be performed by Gloucester Cathedral Singers directed by the Cathedral’s Director of Music, Adrian Partington. The programme consists of part songs by Gustav Holst, including several being performed for the first time and now published by Goodmusic under the title ‘The Voyager’.
