Everyone loves a bargain and this summer there’s more reason than ever to hunt some out in Gloucester’s own treasure trove of charity shops.

Pre-loved clothes, brilliantly retro homewares and vintage finds – there’s something extra special about rooting them out for a steal, while supporting worthwhile causes along the way. And now there’s more incentive than ever to visit the city centre’s amazing network of charity outlets and nose through all they have to offer, by taking part in the Second Hand Summer Challenge.

Simply pick up a stamp card with any purchase at a participating charity shop, collect six stamps in total and you’ll be in with a chance of winning a Gloucester Gift Card to spend on whatever you like and keep supporting city centre retailers.

We have some amazing city centre charity shops taking part this year and this is how you can get involved:

  1. Pick up a loyalty stamp card from one of the participating charity shops.
  2. Visit and purchase from at least three of the participating charity shops to qualify to enter the prize draw.
  3. Collect six stamps on your card on six different visits before 16th August 2024 EXTENDED TO 24TH AUGUST 2024
  4. Once you have collected six stamps, fill in the card and hand it into any of the charity shops’ collection points and be in with a chance to win one of the super prizes!
  5. Watch out for the different T&Cs in the different shops i.e. spend £3+
  6. If you complete a stamp card – you can start a new one!

There are also workshops and demonstrations being planned. If you upcycle or can’t get enough of pre-loved purchasing, please get in touch.

We’re thrilled to be taking part in the Second Hand Summer Challenge. We hope to see as many people as possible pop into our shop to browse our range of clothing, homewares, furniture and much more. We are also grateful for any donations of unwanted items which people can bring along to the shop. For large items such as furniture, we can arrange collections and deliveries too.  Shopping our pre-loved goods is a vital source of income for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity to ensure that our lifesaving pre-hospital emergency service can continue to reach and treat those who need it most in north Gloucestershire.
